ESTRATEGIAS DE PREVENCIÓN FRENTE A LOS FACTORES DE RIESGO ASOCIADOS A LA DIABETES GESTACIONAL: REVISIÓN DE ALCANCE

Objetivo: Mapear la literatura sobre estrategias de prevención de la diabetes gestacional, identificando los factores de riesgo y las intervenciones más efectivas para reducir su incidencia en mujeres embarazadas. Métodos: Se realizó una revisión de alcance basado en la guía PRISMA. Se consultaron las siguientes bases de datos: CiberIndex, Redalyc, Dialnet, SciELO, Google Académico, ScienceDirect, Medigraphic, Elsevier y ResearchGate. Se identificaron 50 artículos, de los cuales se excluyeron 28 por encontrarse fuera del rango de fechas establecido o por abordar trastornos hipertensivos en lugar de la diabetes gestacional. Resultados: Se incluyeron 22 estudios realizados entre los años 2020 a 2025 en la Región de las Américas. Las estrategias de prevención identificadas fueron: cambios en los estilos de vida; intervenciones educativas con aplicación de prueba y postest de conocimientos; verificación de las prácticas en el hogar; y educación continua. Conclusiones: Las estrategias de prevención constituyen un pilar fundamental en el manejo de los factores de riesgo asociados a la diabetes gestacional y en el cuidado integral del binomio madre-hijo.
