Violencia de pareja y su asociación con la dependencia emocional en usuarias de un centro de emergencia mujer, La Libertad, Perú

Objetivo: Determinar la asociación entre la violencia de pareja y la dependencia emocional en mujeres víctimas de violencia atendidas en el Centro de Emergencia Mujer de la provincia de Sánchez Carrión, región La Libertad, Perú, en el año 2024. Materiales y métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, de diseño no experimental, correlacional y transversal. Se incluyó a 160 mujeres mayores de 18 años, seleccionadas mediante muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Se utilizaron el Cuestionario de Violencia en las Relaciones de Pareja y el Cuestionario de Dependencia Emocional, ambos con adecuados índices de confiabilidad. Se utilizó la prueba rho de Spearman con un nivel de significancia p < 0,05. Resultados: El 85,0 % de las participantes presentó una intensa dependencia emocional, mientras que un 91,3 % reportó haber sufrido episodios recurrentes de agresión en el ámbito amoroso. Se reporta una correlación positiva y fuerte entre las variables (ρ = 0,932; p < 0,001). Conclusiones: Las variables estudiadas se asocian de manera significativa, evidenciando la necesidad de comprender la violencia desde una perspectiva relacional, emocional y de salud pública, particularmente en este tipo de contexto institucional de atención a víctimas.
